The first half of the Roam! Please check it out and give suggestions in the comments. Right click the view larger map button to get a closer look at the map in a new tab. I’ll share the second half of my route this weekend!
While you’re at it.. subscribe to the Roam via email and donate in the right column if you feel especially generous! So far expenses have totaled $3145.41 and I still need to buy a laptop, external hard drive, camera batteries, tent sleeping bag, walking cart, gps emergency beacon, clothes, misc. supplies… and then actually do the trip.

This is partly selfish (I live in York and could welcome you) but consider a route paralleling or even along U.S. 30 instead of I-78/76 through south central/eastern PA (I see you do pick it up a little in the west.) It would add negligible miles even if you start the trip by going a little south toward Philly. You’ll get more towns along the way, also Amish country, lots of farmland, Gettysburg, a few dirt track races in the rural parts. I can guide you lots since I know the area. Good luck! -jeff
I’m just curious about all of the manual adjustments in western ohio, is there something in particular there that you’re wanting to see?
ohio just has a lot of trails that work out with my route. I had to force google to stay on the trails by adding a lot of way points.
I echo Jeff’s sentiments about Amish country. I think you’ll find some really interesting people and beautiful places there. I am also biased, partly because we’re close enough to come visit when you pass through, and because I went to college in York.
